Our field school in Masardis, Maine is in central Aroostook county, just south of Ashland.

You can get directions to Masardis from Google Maps by clicking here and entering your starting point. When you register for a course we'll send you detailed driving directions explaining how to find us.

Travel Information - Plane:

Northern Maine Regional Airport (PQI) in Presque Isle is 30 miles away. There are daily flights between Presque Isle and Logan international airport in Boston, Massachusetts (BOS) provided by US Air.

Bangor International Airport (BGR) is 145 miles away. If flying into Bangor, you can take Cyr Bus Lines to Presque Isle from the Concord Trailways bus station located directly across from the airport.

Travel Information - Bus:

Presque Isle is served by Cyr Bus Lines and Greyhound.

For those arriving internationally to Boston, taking the bus to Presque Isle is the most economical way to get here.

Airport And Bus Station Pickup:

We can usually provide transportation from the airport and bus station in Presque Isle for a $40 fee. Please let us know your travel information well in advance to determine if this is feasible. If you arrive late or plan to leave early, plan on spending the night in Presque Isle.

Blackwater Outfitters And Cabin Rentals - (207) 540-4101. Our friends Dick and Melanie Cullins operate Blackwater Outfitters, where you can rent a small cabin with a full kitchen and bathroom for a very reasonable rate. They're located just down the road.

RV Parking

If you want to bring your RV contact our friends at Mystic Acres Campground in Oxbow. They've got a beautiful park with hot showers and full hookups, and it's only about 15 minutes away.

Sharing Rides

You can connect with others taking the same course or trip on our forum. Most people participating in our programs are coming from the south and drive within a mile of the Bangor International Airport.
